SEMINOLE COUNTY, FL – A head-on crash in Seminole County Tuesday left one person dead and two others injured, according to a report in the Orlando Sentinel.

The Florida Highway Patrol said a 59-year-old man was driving a Ford Focus west on State Road 436 near Forest City when he crossed into the eastbound lanes at about 4:45 p.m. The car slammed into a Kia Forte driven by a 19-year-old woman.

A passenger in the Ford, a 54-year-old man from Kissimmee, was pronounced dead after being transported to AdventHealth Altamonte Springs. The driver, a Tampa resident, suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Kia, an Apopka resident, also sustained minor injuries.

The FHP is continuing its investigation into the accident. There was no indication yet of what caused the first driver to go into the opposite lane.
